The client wanted to have a single point of access for interacting with various applications and processes. There was a need to reduce costs that could be facilitated by a single sign-on facility. One option was to implement the IBM Portal. However, there was a shortage of consultants at cost-effective rates.
Buoyed by the potential benefits of tighter relationships with other applications and improving workforce productivity, the client agreed to deploy the IBM platforms. Actinolix engineers undertook discussions to understand their requirements better and came up with a foolproof delivery schedule with concrete milestones. The team implemented IBM platform Portal and integrated the WebSphere Process Server v6.1 to Portal Server 6.1.
The implementation saw workforce productivity increase by almost 25% within the first five months. As time progressed, the deployment saw rationalization of operational costs that got reduced by around 20% within the first ten months of deployment.
